A Quick Note from Chip Greenidge, EMCEE/Master of Ceremonies Dear Friends, Community Members, and Partners: Project HOPE Boston, Inc. is a multiservice organization working in partnership with families residing in our local Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods. Located in Roxbury with our main office on 550 Dudley Street and family shelter on Magnolia Street, Project HOPE has served the community for over 40 years. HOPE means House Open People Enter~ the organization was originally founded as a family shelter. In 1981, the founder, Sr. Margaret Leonard, opened the doors of the Lil Sisters of the Assumption’s convent to women and children who lost their homes to a massive fire. In our efforts to keep the “House Open”, we have to raise funds! Among other fundraising efforts, Project HOPE hosts an annual complimentary breakfast, Rise and Shine, at the Boston Harbor Hotel to honor the families that have participated in one or more of the services and/or programs at Project HOPE: the Emergency Family Shelter, Workforce Development and Education, Housing Services and/or the Family Childcare Network. Project HOPE strives to be an asset within the community while working with clients and families to move toward economic mobility and stability by reducing structural barriers which typically prevent basic access and opportunity to those who have been marginalized, historically. We would be honored if you could attend and experience the shared life narratives as well as meet the corporate partners who support the work of Project HOPE Boston, Inc. Although donations aren’t required, they are tremendously appreciated, Please just click through the invite and press the RSVP button. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Maureen Pompeo at mpompeo@prohope.org. I hope to see you there! – Rise and Shine, Thursday, June 1, 2023, 7:00 am 8:30 am, Boston Harbor Hotel, 70 Rowes Wharf, Boston, MA 02110. Spirit of Sister Margaret Leadership Award
Each year we honor a person or team who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment towards families. This year we will honor the team who worked tirelessly and respectfully to renovate and expand the Project HOPE Family Shelter. For the past year they came to work everyday, aware they were in someone's home, and everyday they demonstrated the type of spirit that built and will sustain Project HOPE. Please join the family in welcoming our newest members to the cause!
